1
Sign in with GitHub
Open focale and continue with GitHub. That is how we know it is you.
2
Connect the repo
Install the focale GitHub App and pick the repository that powers your public URL. We look at the code read-only. We never ask for write access to your production database.
3
Pick the flows that matter
Confirm the paths that lose money or users if they break: signup, checkout, login, and the like. You can change this later.
4
Finish reachability
Tell us how to reach you (email, optional SMS for severe-only). Then focale opens the watching pull request.
5
Merge the watching PR, then publish
On Add watching, focale lands official OpenTelemetry on your backend and opens a small PR. Merge it when it is ready, set
FOCALE_DSN in your host secrets, then publish the way you usually do (your host’s deploy, a new Lovable/Bolt publish, or similar).6
Home says watching is live
After merge and the next publish, home reads Something competent is watching once your app sends a boot heartbeat. If nothing has broken, that is the whole story. What the other sentences mean.
